1. Information We Collect Directly
We only collect the information you provide directly to us. Depending on how you use our platform, this includes:
For all users: Basic information, such as your name and email address, when you register for an account or purchase a course.
For third-party content providers: Additional verification details before you can upload content. To ensure the credibility of our instructors, we evaluate proof of education and professional experience. We do this exclusively by reviewing publicly available professional profiles (we do not collect government IDs or other sensitive personal data).
What We Do Not Collect: We, as a company, do not directly collect IP addresses, browser types, digital fingerprints, full credit card numbers, or sensitive financial data.
2. Third-Party Services and Data Collection
Our platform is a collaborative educational space hosting both our proprietary courses and content created by independent providers. Because of this, your data interacts with different third-party services depending on whose tools are being used.
2.1. Platform-Managed Infrastructure & Cookies
While we strictly minimize the data we collect directly, the essential third-party software we use to operate this platform must collect certain information to function securely. We ensure these direct partners are strictly bound by robust data protection and security obligations:
Payments: All financial transactions are processed through strictly vetted third-party payment gateways. Sensitive details, including primary account numbers (PAN) and security codes, are transmitted directly to these processors via encrypted connections. We do not collect, process, or retain your payment card data on our internal systems.
Technical Data & Strict Cookies: Our hosting and video providers collect standard technical data (IP addresses, strictly necessary session cookies) to prevent fraud and stream securely. We do not exercise direct control over this data, which remains subject to the respective privacy policies of our infrastructure providers. We have configured our video players to strictly operate in privacy-friendly modes. We do not deploy analytical, marketing, or tracking cookies without triggering a clear consent banner asking for your explicit permission.
2.2. Creator-Managed Tools (Independent Data Controllers)
Independent content providers may require you to interact with external software within their courses.
Independent Controllers, Not Joint Controllers: If a creator introduces a third-party tool, that creator acts as an Independent Data Controller under the law. Our platform is not a "Joint Controller" of any data harvested by tools introduced by external creators.
Creator Obligations & Liability: Creators are legally obligated to ensure their external tools comply with all privacy laws (including the nFADP and GDPR). Creators must provide you with a clear privacy notice inside their course if they collect your data. We explicitly disclaim all liability for data practices, breaches, or security failures of external services introduced by independent creators. We do not exercise direct control over this data, which remains subject to the respective privacy policies of the our infrastructure providers.
2.3. Marketing, Analytics, and Social Media Integrations
To promote our courses, analyze website traffic, and enhance user experience, our website utilizes external analytics services (such as Google Analytics) and social media plugins (including Facebook, YouTube, and Google). When you access a page on our platform that contains these integrations, your browser automatically logs standard technical data (such as your IP address, browser type, and time of retrieval) and establishes a direct connection to the servers of these respective third-party providers. If you are logged into a social media account during your visit, or if you interact with a plugin (such as a "Like" or "Share" button), these platforms may assign this visit directly to your personal user account. We emphasize that these external companies operate as independent data controllers governed by their own distinct data sharing and privacy policies. We do not have access to the specific data they collect, we do not control their tracking technologies (such as their proprietary cookies), and we explicitly disclaim all liability for how these third parties process, store, or internationally transfer your information. To understand the scope and purpose of their data collection, please review the individual privacy policies of Google, Meta (Facebook), and any other integrated networks directly.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your directly provided data strictly to:
Provide and manage your access to our digital content.
Manage your account and communicate with you about updates or support.
Facilitate the secure connection to our third-party payment processor to complete your transactions.
Verify the credibility and professional background of third-party content providers applying to publish on our platform.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We only share essential data (such as your email or account status) with trusted third-party service providers strictly as necessary to operate our platform and deliver your content. We reserve the right to disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the legal rights and safety of our platform and its users.
5. International Data Transfers
Because we use modern web infrastructure, the third-party processors we rely on (such as hosting and payment providers) may store or process your data on servers located outside of your country of residence. We ensure that any international data transfers comply with applicable global data protection laws by relying on recognized legal frameworks and standard contractual clauses.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will securely delete your personal data, retaining only what is strictly necessary to comply with our legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
7. Age Restrictions
Our platform and services are strictly intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that a minor has created an account, we will immediately terminate the account and delete the associated data.
8. Your Global Data Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, restrict the processing of, or request the deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, or if you have any questions regarding how your data is handled, please contact us at hello@conflictology.space.
